Dr. Anna Trocha is a specialist in internal medicine and diabetology and currently serves as the Medical Director of Contilia MVZ Diabetologie in Essen, Germany. She completed her doctoral dissertation at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, focusing on diabetic nephropathy and the effects of structured hypertension education and treatment programs.

Her clinical and scientific work is centered on the diabetic foot, with a particular emphasis on the prevention of first ulcers. Anna remains engaged in research as a guest scientist at Heinrich Heine University and is deeply involved in advancing interdisciplinary diabetic foot care. She is the founder and speaker of the Foot Network Essen and has contributed significantly to national initiatives in this field. For over ten years, she was a member of the executive committee of the German Diabetic Foot Group (AG Fuß).

Since 2024, Anna is the Chairperson of the Diabetic Foot Study Group (DFSG) and founded its research group dedicated to the “Prevention of the First Ulcer”.
