Alyson Littman is an epidemiologist at the VA Puget Sound in Seattle, Washington and a Research Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. Dr. Littman has conducted research into amputation and diabetic foot disease for over 15 years. Her research includes seminal work on the epidemiology of toe amputation as well as observational studies and randomized trials on the effectiveness of remote foot temperature monitoring for the prevention of ulcer recurrence and lower limb amputation. She taught a course in Applied Epidemiologic Methods to graduate students at the University of Washington for 11 years.
