Jun Xu is an endocrinologist in Tianjin. Dr.Xu earned his bachelor degree of clinical medicine at Lanzhou University in 2004.Then he went to  Tianjin Medical University and got the Master degree of Endocrinology in 2007.In the same year, he worked in Department of Diabetic Foot,Chu Hsien-I Memorial Hospital & Tianjin Institute of Endocrinology, Tianjin Medical University.He earned the PhD of Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2015.He as a visiting scholar worked in Center of Diabetes, Endoscopy, Wound Healing, Cologne,Germany from 2022 to 2023. Now he works in Department of  Diabetic Foot,Chu Hsien-I Memorial Hospital.There are 100 bed for treating patients with diabetic foot.In this department,endocrinologists, surgeons,wound specialists,educational nurses work together.

Dr. Xu  mainly dedicate to diabetic foot infection, diabetic foot osteomyelitis,muti-drug resistant organism, biofilm. He has served as member of the Metabolism and Regenerative Translational Medicine Group of the Chinese Society of Endocrinology,Young member of Chinese Society of  Microcirculation, diabetes and microcirculation branch, member of the Chinese Academy of Foot and Ankle Medicine Education of the Chinese Medical Association,member of Standing Committee and Secretary-General of  Diabetic Foot and Wound Repair Committee of Tianjin Medical Health Society. Dr. Xu had published 33 papers as the first author or corresponding author.He participated in drafting the Guideline for Prevention and Treatment of diabetic Foot in China, chief edited the Illustrations of Special diabetic Foot and Lower Extremity Wounds, co-edited the Illustrations of Diagnosis and Treatment of diabetic Foot, and participated in editing 8 diabetic foot books. He translated  IWGDF guidelines (2019,2023,2027）into Chinese.He as deputy chief translator translated  Diabetic Foot Medical and Surgical Treatment (4th edition), and participated in translating other three diabetic foot books.
