Jonas Askø Andersen, Md. PhD. Clin Assoc. Prof., is a clinician and researcher with an interest in ulcers, amputations and orthopedics in general with a special passion for the diabetic foot. He has conducted and collaborated on research projects from case series to larger randomized clinically controlled trials. His goal in research on the diabetic foot is to provide simple, effective tools to manage, prevent and treat complications of the diabetic foot that can/will benefit the individual person with diabetes. In addition, he has been a board member of The Danish Wound Healing Society for more than 10 years and have cofounded initiatives for education of Danish Orthopedic Surgeons and Wound-Care nurses in wound healing in general and on the diabetic foot specifically.
