Dr. Allison’s clinical practice, research and teaching focus on the intersection of complex infections and wounds with an emphasis on diabetic limb salvage with multidisciplinary, collaborative care. Peer-reviewed publications include harmonizing diabetic foot guidelines, evaluation of lymphedema guidelines and co-author of IDSA (Infectious Disease Society of America) OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy) Guidelines. Her awards include regional recognition as a “top doctor” for more than 10 years; induction to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as teaching faculty; Fellow of the IDSA; and Fellow of the ACP (American College of Physicians).
