Since 1998 involved in treatment of CLTI  with  autologous peripheral blood mononuclear cells,   conservative and surgical treatment of severe foot deformity, joint instability and osteomyelitis in Charcot Foots, plastic reconstructive surgery in DFU, CLTI  treatment by means of endoluminal and surgical approach and multidisciplinary approach of diabetic foot infection.

During the last 20  years  Prof Caravaggi published  several papers on different topics related to  Diabetic Foot Treatment and he participated in the writing of chapters in books dedicated to the treatment of the diabetic foot pathology.
